Put down traps.
Piss off some red dots, make them chase you. Have red dots chasing you run over traps. Rinse and repeat. |

It also helps to have trappers focus or trappers focus to help.

I like trapping with a partner that way we sometimes get enough traps down to kill a mob in one go.
We use ranger spirits to boost the damage done by the traps and its easier to go for mobs who don't have a ranged attack. Edge of extinction and possibly winnowing as well will do some serious extra damage. You can usually manage these because you are trapping not killing with a bow so marksmanship isnt needed. Beastmastery and wilderness survival are fine. barbed trap and vipers nest do piercing damage both boosted by winnowing They are now crippled bleeding and poisoned. Burning and blinding could be added by other traps but I seldom bother. If one of the mob falls it usually causes a domino effect from edge of extinction. If you have the elite "spiked trap" that causes a knockdown and then the spirit "Brambles" causes bleeding, so thats a third spirit skill you might want to try out. With the conditions imposed by the traps you might want to see what necro skills you could throw at them to do even more. Except you probably dont have any points left from ranger skills to put into necro. animating any bodies could be fun and keep the mob busy and off your back I guess. The new effect of cracked armor should make trapping even more lethal. |

Quote:
12 points in Wilderness Survival 2 points in Beast Mastery Rest of the points in Expertise Add Runes to Wilderness Survival(Major+) and a Minor to Expertise That was a basic Prophicies only build i used to use ages ago on the Shiverpeak Trolls. Should still pack enough damage to floor them.. http://youtube.com/watch?v=VR8lvQwvb4c Really old video showing how to do it :P |
